Beach
A quiet, 8-km stretch of white sand shared between Bang Tao village and Laguna Resort — far less crowded than Patong. Calm waters October–April, great for swimming.
A sheltered cove at the northern end of Bangtao, popular with kayakers and paddle-boarders. Almost no vendors — bring your own water.
Food & drink
The best weekend market in the Bangtao area. Fresh fruit, street food, craft beer, and live music on Saturday evenings. Opens 5 pm onwards.
Several excellent Thai restaurants on the Cherngtalay road — khao man gai, boat noodles, and excellent mango sticky rice. Meals from 60–120 THB.
Activities
Train with professional Muay Thai fighters. Morning and afternoon classes welcome all levels. Sessions ~400 THB. Good for a cultural workout experience.
Nai Yang and Nai Thon beaches offer half-day kayak tours around limestone karsts. Full-day longtail boat tours to Coral Island can be arranged through Montree.
Culture
The most iconic landmark in Phuket — two heroines who repelled a Burmese invasion in 1785. A must-see cultural stop en route to the Old Town.
Sino-Portuguese shophouses, street art, and the Sunday Walking Street market. Best visited in the early morning or after 5 pm to beat the heat.

How far is Bangtao Beach from the holiday homes?
Both properties are a 10-minute walk from the nearest access point to Bangtao Beach — roughly 700–800 m on a flat road. A bicycle is available on request.
Is Bangtao Beach good for swimming?
Yes, between November and April the water is calm and crystal-clear. May–October sees larger swells — always swim within the flag zones. There is no strong rip current on Bangtao.
Can Montree arrange tours or transfers?
Yes. Montree can arrange airport transfers, day trips to Phang Nga Bay, island snorkelling, and restaurant recommendations. Just ask when you book.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Tops Supermarket in Porto de Phuket (8 min drive) and a Villa Market in Laguna (10 min drive) carry Western and Thai groceries. A 7-Eleven is 5 minutes on foot.
What is the best time of year to visit Bangtao?
November to April is high season — dry, sunny, and the best beach weather. May to October is green season with lower prices, fewer crowds, and lush tropical scenery; occasional afternoon rain.
